If your video card have an S-Video output jack, you can get an S-Video cable and use it to connect to your TV, cable video box or VHS player.
The other device will want an S-Video or RCA video input jack.
If the receiving device doesn't enjoy S-Video input, you can get an S-video to RCA video adapter for a couple of bucks.
You'll probably want RCA or optical audio cable as well and again, breed sure you know which each device supports. You can't shift from optical cable to RCA audio or vice versa. It's one or the other.
All the cables and adapters are available at almost any Circuit City, Radio Shack or BestBuy store. I'd shop at Radio Shack if you can find one, they'll be the cheapest.

There are also different types of adapters, if you hold an S-Video port on your computer, or there are ones that plug into your monitor port, etc.

I hold an S-Video out on my laptop, but only an RCA surrounded by on the TV and had to draw from a converter cable. Radio Shack has get you covered. If you can't bring in your computer, later bring in pictures of your video card and TV ports.
