Answer:
It sounds similar to a great system and it's not that hard to build one. Be assiduous handling the chip, follow static precautions, and be prepared to run to the computer store a few times for cables and screw. A big advantage of building your own is that any upgrades you do contained by the future will appear like a "snap". It's also great fun to keep watch on the computer power up for the first time.
That's a powerhouse notebook...what do you need a desktop for?

First rotten, I don't see a graphics card listed.

Also, the 320gb seagate is a better buy at $80. The 400gb is 50% more money for singular 25% more disk space.

The e6600 is okay, yet near that pricey motherboard and RAM, an e6320 will overclock to 3.0ghz+ and have more L2 cache. Even a $114 e4300 will overclock to 3.0ghz.

Basically, if you don't overclock you own no reason to buy that motherboard and RAM. Any generic $90 board and $70 set of RAM will accomplish the same as not overclocking near that board and ram.

The crust and power supply is garbage. I would recommend the $100ish Lian Li aluminum that have 4 x 80mm fans. That steel Apevia baggage will be blistering hot inside with your detail of components.

Are you going to run SLi or go for an 8800 series Nvidia?
Either means of access, you'll need to spend $90+ on a talent power supply (FSP, PC Power & Cooling, Seasonic, Silverstone, etc). That bottom of the barrel Apevia will crap out and probably fry your spendy motherboard, I don`t know even your CPU.

EDIT:
I don't see an aftermarket HSF for the CPU, so I assume you're not overclocking? What a waste of money your build is. Did you lately browse through and randomly pick components?

I looked you up, I answered some of your other PC question before, you were/are clueless. You thought two 8500GTs would be better than a single 8800GTS...lol. Read some reviews.

My suggestion list be MUCH better than what you purchased:

$165- Intel Core 2 Duo e6320 w/4mb L2 cache
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.as...
$140- EVGA motherboard 680i SLi
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.as...
$90- 2gb of Corsair XMS gaming RAM DDR2-800
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.as...
$110- Lian Li aluminum case
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.as...
$106- FSP 600watt power supply
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.as...
$320- 8800GTS 640mb video card
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.as...
$33- Sony / NEC 18x SATA DVD burner
$50- Tuniq 120 CPU cooler
$160- 2 x 320gb Seagate SATA firm drives (use one for page file / storage)

Name brand top standard everything for a total of $1,174.
This PC will overclock to 3.0ghz while staying nice and cool, play any game, stifle video/audio, pretty much anything you would ask of a consumer PC.
