Thats an easy one, if the drive is still good i mean. All you do is go to Comp USA or Best Buy or a store like that and buy an external hard drive enclosure ( basically it is a little plastic case that you put your internal hard drive in to make it an external) you will want one for a 3.25 drive basically it is a smaller size than normal sized hard drive). Then you will simpley unscrew your laptop and take the hard drive out and follow the instuctions that came with the enclosure kit. Then hook it up via usb cable witch is how all of them hook up now a days and if the device isen't fragged it should work on the pc you are hooking it up to as an external drive (do not format unless you wanna erase all the data). If that doesen't work take it to a data recovery service but unless the data is very important i wouldn't cause it cost alot of money to do.
Only way is to get any other laptop and swap the drives. that way you can back the HDD to DVD-r's or CD-r. Only option with no power
get a usb enclosure for a 2.5" drive .. theyre cheap .. then pull the drive out and put it in the enclosure and see if its still alive .. on another pc ..
Take it to a shop if the data is important . . . the hard drive is probably intact (they're airtight, so they shouldn't absorb water either). Don't try turning it on anymore though . . . that might make things worse. Good luck!
You can remove the hard drive, and use a USB cable connector special made to hook up hard drives(.Look on Tiger Direct, or e-bay) Then hook it to your pc and you should be able to find your files.

buy an external hdd case 2.5 for notebooks and take the hdd out and put it in the external case. Then you can take it to any computer and plug it into the usb port and get the data. If the hdd got damaged due to the water there might not be any chance of getting your information back.
In the future it would be best to backup your data regually. I back up on a internal drive that the boot record turned bad but still holds data. I also back up small files on different flash drives I have.
there are some inexpensive sites that can back up your data and it is kept online (which is good since if you have a backup and you have a fire than the backup will be destroyed.) If you need anything else please email me.
