Acer 5104WLMi is it good enough or should a return it? video card!?

This are my specs:
Model Aspire 5104WLMi. AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-56 (1,8 GHz)
Dual Core, 2048 MB DDR2 RAM, 160 GB harddisk, up to 512
MB ATI X1100 HyperMemory. Windows vista.

Windows vista it says that it has 256 MB of dedicated system memory, 500 of shared memory and 726 MB of total available memory.

I already changed the graphic card memory in the bios to the max 256 MB

Is there any way to transfer more memory of the total available memory?
Can I run decent games with this CPU ex half life 2 ?
Should I get a better computer? Any suggestions

well I like nvidia's becouse they have their own memory, they tend to be more expensive but well worth the money:)
