Higher Ampere AC for Pocket PC?

I ordered a used Toshiba AC adapter for my Pocket PC (Asus A620). The vendor told me that it got 5V--2A exactly like the Input on my Pocket PC. When it arrived I had to find out that it has 3 Ampere.

Could this damage my Pocket PC or the battery of my pocket pc? It was hard enough to find an AC for my Pocket PC so I would only change it if its really necessary.

Thank you!

Things may have changed since my high school electronics class back in the 1960s, but here's what I recall. Amperage is determined by the load which in this case is your PocketPC. It draws 2 amps, so you need a power source which will supply at least 2 amps. Your adapter can supply up to 3 amps, so you have a comfortable margin. I would not hesitate to use that AC adapter. (Okay, some things have changed since my high school electronics class--we were using vacuum tubes back then.)
