Need help with repairing my Dell laptop?

Help!? I loaned my Dell c610 to my nephew, ( bad mistake on my part) and now one of the prongs in the power source is broken off into the AC adaptor. The battery is dead so I can't even start it up. Is there any way for this to be fixed or do I need to scrap this one and buy a new one? I use it for work and feel so lost without it. I dont have a warranty either and I purchased it on my own. Please advise.

Wow i did not know of any one who still had a C610 those are so old since i work for dell i recomend that you get a new one you can get a good D620 or D820 and they are very nice we also have the inspiron line that is more for hme use but still nice and cheaper then the latitudes!
I can't believe you thought of buying a new one, I'm sure if you call dell they can sell you a new cord or something.
just take it to your local computer repair shop and they will be able to fit it with a new power adapter plug in. its a hell of alot cheaper than a new computer.
you can give your dell laptop for repairs in dell service center...no issues
Scrap it and buy a new one
