Whenever I insert any flash memory into or conect an external hard disks to the USB port of my laptop, windows vista does not recognize it and it asks for driver. It was not like this before and it used to work fine. I let it it to search for the driver eaven it checked it online for the driver but it can't find anything ...
Any idea how can fix it without installing windows again? Please HELP (^_^)

Search for the driver yourself at the Flash Drive website.
Example: You have an Imation drive, go to the Imation website. Look for special instructions for use with Vista.
I had to do this with my printer.
make sure you plug the USB lead in the same port as you did before. Otherwise it will not remember what it is.
