Laptop Buying Question?

I'm thinking of buying a midrange laptop ($500) and right now I have my eyes set on the Acer Aspire AS5050-3785 Notebook. I plan to chat, surf the web, make documents, and play some older games (Halo 1 and games like that) . Is this laptop right for me?

What do you think?

Just make sure it has XP on it and not Vista.
I hope you already bought this laptop.

It says "sold out" on the website.
good enough. Acer is a good brand and i got one aspire series and ive been using it for 3 years no problems at all. go for it, it fits yr use perfectly.
Yeah, I think so. Pretty much any laptop you buy now will be able to handle that stuff with no problem.
i'd shop around for other makes and models. you can get some good cheap laptops from manufacturer's like dell and sony, but it all depends on you, really. I would go with a good dell, myself, because you get good quality, with a good warranty and sevice, plus the top of the line parts, just in case you plan on lots of downloads or new gaming. The XPS series is doing very well, and they're not too expensive, so check those out if you want. i'm an A+ certified technician, so if you have any other questions hit me up.
