Acer aspire notebook with amd turion 64 mobile good for gaming?
Answers:
The graphics adapter on that machine is not terrible, and you should be able to play most of those games. The key word is "most".
Laptops are simply not made for gaming. A good gaming processor requires more power and heat dissipation than a small portable device can provide.
If you want a computer for gaming, buy a desktop, unless you can afford to spend $3000 on a good gaming laptop.
***EDIT***
Just having a fast processor does not make a computer that can run video applications such as BFME2 well.
The computer needs a powerful, dedicated Graphics processing unit to handle all of the extra video rendering.
The Xpress 1100 is not a great card, but it is a good card for a laptop.
The reason it is not good for gaming is exactly the reason you stated in your new details "this is liek the cheapest 1 i could find". You can't expect to buy a bottom of the line laptop and expect it to be a powerhouse in gaming.
There is a difference between dedicated video memory and shared video memory, which is what your Xpress card has in it.
"good" for gaming, NO
"workable" for gaming, sure...
No get one with a lot of space and ram
You can play those games on that laptop. It'll just be slow and choppy.
If you want a laptop that you can play games on, look for something with an nVidia 7600/8600 or better, or an ATI X600, X1600, or X2400 or better graphics chip or better with at least 256MB of dedicated video RAM.
