I spilled soda on my laptop, and doesnt work. flashes power light. took apart and motherboard/processor hiss?

i spilled soda on my dell e1405 laptop, and doesnt work. flashes power light. it worked for a day then it doesnt do anyting but flash the power light and hiss. i took it all apart and left the motherboard and processor in. pluged it in and it makes a hissing noise. i take the processor out of the motherboard and it just flashes the power light. is it the motherboard or the processor that needs to be replaced? or how can i test it?

I just dealt with this at work, a user spilled coffee on the laptop and ruined it. Sadly in your case this maybe your problem. Its more in likely the motherboard. Possibly even both. I dont know how much soda you spilled on it. I always reccommend accident insurance for instances such as this because warranty does not cover accidents. I'm going to say you may as well start looking to replace the motherboard etc or buy a new laptop which would be cheaper.
just open it and clean it out
and then try ur best to dry it
and let it sit a few days
Did you let it completley dry out for a few days before you tried to turn it on again?

if not, in my experience, you're out of luck. I would start looking for a new computer.
