I'm soon going to college. Which would you suggest and why. Apple VS Windows..?

Mac is so cool. Go for it. Even though you spend a bit more you will be unique among your friends. Now that you get "Parallels" or "Boot Camp" you can also install Windows in it. So go for Mac.
If you are more used to apple then windows or Vise Versa, then you should get the one you are used too. It takes time to switch from Windows to Apple. And in my opinion, Windows are much easier to use.

I personally would choose apple, with their new OS leopard coming out, its going to humiliate windows. That's my opinion, for mac they dont have any viruses right now, mainly because not that many ppl have one, but if you have ever had a virus, Trojan, or PC problems and you have had to run all the scans its time consuming. From all the ppl that I know who have a apple laptop, about 10, they tell me that its really user friendly, its easy to get use to it, also upgrading with apple is less expensive. I would go with apple, its a little bit more expensive, but overall i think apple is better than windows.
