How come it is so hard for Apple to make a product that does not scratch?

This comes after the top of my MacBook is scratched merciless from a cotton cloth! When will they pass up the get a case crap and make it good from the start?

I would say that it only seems that way because Apple's original finishes are always flawless. Any little scratch is that much more noticable.
I got nice sleeve for my MacBook from Radtech.com. It's kept it clean and scratch free. It's like a soft sock for the MacBook, also keeps the fingerprints off. The MacBook is a hard plastic exterior, it will scratch.
