APC UPS Power Output for ES 500 series?

Hi there I got an APC UPS with 500 VA/300 Watts of back up battery power output.

If I have a system that uses 600-700 Watts (CRT Monitor uses 300 Watts maximum), does the system receive all 700 Watts when connected to the UPS or only 300 Watts.

I assume the system always receives just 300 Watts of power from the UPS when there is a power failure.

Answers:
it will only supply 300 watts. a good way to test if your system still runs, is take out the power from the wall, and see if the battery keeps your system up.
