Acer Apire 5600 question for an expert?

I'm ok at replacing parts inside laptops and computers but when i opened my acer aspire 5601awlmi i found that above the ram storage to the right is a dock for something to be inserted and i don't know what equipment will fit in it. i don't wanna monkey around with it until i know what it is. Thanks in advance to the man/woman with the smarts
