Why doesn't my laptop start-up?

My power cord got disconnected accidentally from my Dell Inspiron the other day and now it doesn’t start-up. Is there a reset button somewhere?

Answers:
Check the output of your Power adapter with a volt meter set to DC 200v and see if you have 24v-48v output without a load.
Or have a friend with a meter do it for you.
You may have dammaged the wires.

take out battery,replace battery connect your power cord and press power button that should take care of your problem.
same happened to me.i am 99% sure its battery,just charge it.if not,call costumer support
