Toshibas are about the best out there as far as handling abuse from bouncing down the road.
I would get a Toshiba, they are built to handle some abuse.. Dell's on the other hand are a bit more fragile.
you should get an acer aspire 3680 cause it comes with an internal travelers warranty and is really cheap. i got mine brand new $400 best buy.
Toshiba makes the best laptops for everyone. I would highly recommend a Toshiba Satellite M65-S9092.
I would say the Dell 1520, comes in an alloy case and they advertise improved connectivity. It is the latest from Dell and is getting great reviews. It is priced nicely and most of the top options are availible including a NV8600 GC and 3 screen resolutions.
i hope ppl are joking... Toshibas are TERRIBLE. never heard of 1 that didn't overheat. they are not reliable. ever heard of a businessman who travels a lot with a Toshiba? i've had a satellite b4 - it's crap (and all my friends who've had toshibas agree)
no, they get IBM ThinkPads, or Dell Latitudes/XPS's. if you get a cheap laptop and travel a lot it'll break on you, esp. a Toshiba
