i'm almost certain there wont be another book coming out soon. there is a new OS coming out, though. check that out.
I just had the newest Macbook 2.16 Ghz and I hated it. If anything you have to go with a Macbook Pro and you need a ton of memory if you want it to even do the simplest things.
