No, keep it at 32 bit for now. 64 bit is more trouble than it's worth. It might not work properly because of driver issues. Once all your friends are on 64 bit, then consider it. You're good for now.
there is not much difference if you'll use just a 32 bit OS...64-bit is just a hype but is not really that different..The thing is, if u'll use 64 bit OS, then you should also have 64 bit programs to make full use of that. 32 bit apps still run...
I recommend a 32 bit because of the problems with most drivers, also it's cheaper :P, anyway I recommend using Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit. :) 64 bit is mostly for PC's that laptops.
It wont be a problem at all, my lousy laptop (1.6 GHz) can run premium ok so I dont see how a better proccesor couldnt. But you should also check that the laptop is windows vista conpatible (you could download the upgrade advisor from microsoft.com to check or if you can see the laptop up close look for the sticker on it that says if its running vista or if it is windows vista conpatible) and that it has at least 2 Gigs of RAM
no ... 32bit it was u should use.. i got a computer wit a duo processor.. brand new wit vista home premium ultimate isnt really much of a difference just more money and lil more upgrades but they both run great
