Acer Or Hp?
Answers:
I have an Acer Aspire 9301 and have had no problems with it so far, but my HP Photosmart printer has broken down twice in as many months and now the on/off switch doesn't work. So I would say go for the Acer.
It depends on the specs. What's in the box?
HP, more reliable. Acer things tend to go wrong! Had 4 Acer monitors in work which have all had problems! Computers are the same too.
Acer ya!
Acer
Both are among the top five manufacturer's of laptops and have large staffs in place to support customers. Acer tends to be less expensive and HP sold almost 5 million laptops last year.
I'd first decide what laptop features you need ... size, weight, display size, battery life, etc. Then figure out the applications you plan on running ... word processing, e-mail, gaming, etc. Then figure out the budget.
These are the categories of laptops: Ultraportable, Thin-and-light, Mainstream, Desktop replacement/gaming laptops and Budget laptops. So, decide which type would meet your needs and select a model from HP, Acer and/or Toshiba, Dell or Lenovo (formerly IBM) and compare them and you should be able to figure out what model from which manufacturer would best meet your needs.
