What doese the S-video out do on my laptop?

i have a laptop with a S-video plug out on it, what can i use it for? or is it a S-video plug in? what does it do?

Answers:
Nothing.

If you have a TV, VCR or other device that has an S-video Input, you just might be able to use the S-Video port to send your computer's signal to that device... but what's the point? It will be a poor quality.

It's so you can output to a t.v.
You can use it connect it to your TV to show your computer display on your TV, in other words, using your TV as an external monitor.
