Apple's iBook g4?

I own an ibook g4 well my school gave it to my whole class this as a gift for graduation. Like a year or so ago the tip of my charger got stuck in the the charger whole we got it out and got a new charger but when we charge it not it doesnt charge at all!what should i do?? please help!!
