Does anyone know why,all of a sudden,my packard bell laptop is not burning cd's?

check your ribbon cables
packards are terible with consistency
your cd vurner could be bad. go to the system devices and see if it is there. if it is unistall it and restart and let windows find it . if you still can not burn cd after that .then the burner will have to be replaced
Maybe its flame died and needs be lit again. LOL
Maybe cause your head (rom's head) is broken or the cd's are not compatible with your rom,, or just try uninstalling and re-installing the burning software. That normally works,, but if your laser has broken then you will need to get a new rom.
or your datacable connecting to your rom has loosened up,, it can happen cause of the constant warming and cooling of the hardware the cards can move outa their busses and cables also,, but first try the un-install then re-install.
and it could also be a virus or your driver is clashing with something else you might have installed.

Is your computer acting up, besides the CD burning? If so your computer might not be able to handle it . Your computer can't handle the CD burning so it's caused the problem on its own, That's what happened to my dad. I don't know how to fix it other than stop the program and start buying Cd's for a change.
The burner is probably faulty try putting another on in it they don't last that long when buring cd's constantley.
