Hiya,
Don't fret, a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) is not the end. It means that one of the files that the computer uses to boot up has become corrupt so it can't startup.
You can buy "caddies" to put the hard drive in so you could connect it up to another PC via USB.
Ebay is usually the best bet - you will need a 2.5" drive enclosure/caddie for laptop drives.

yeah you can and your friend sounds like he knows what he is doing so dont fret
Go to my computer and click on your main drive, go to tools and check fix errors and fix bad sectors, reboot and windows will fix itself.
Try running a repair install. Boot from the OS cd, at the first prompt tell it to install, at the second where you see it's installation partition use the R repair option. This returns the files to their original state and does not change any data files.
relax...
The Operating System (Windows) is choking on somehting which is causing the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death).
Pulling the hard drive out, installing it into another computer, and retrieveing the data is a safe thing to do and happens all of the time.
Have you tried booting into Safe Mode so you could at least get to the error log/event viewer?
Oh Dear
Maybe next time u will bve more careful with what ur pressing
You've lost it all
Sorry
Your techhy friend is right. But the only possibility is when he copy the entire hard drive to new one. or he can backup from the laptop without removing hard drive.
What do you mean you have hard drive partitioned? does this mean you were in the middle and something had happened? Always back up before doing some thing.
If you got important data on PC you are advised call service center of your PC maker and they will solve your problem before it become worst. This is my self experience which I have learned.

it is not fully possible to get files because i think you got a hard-drive virus
I would let him take out the drive and back it up. There are usb adapters available that plug into the laptop drive and let you plug it into another pc. Then he should be able to access your data and burn it to a dvd or other back up device.
After your data is secured I'd let him put the drive back in and attempt the Windows repair, and if that didn't work then I;d restore the laptop and copy your data back to it.
yea... ur friend is right... what u just need to do is to remove the hard drive of ur laptop and install it on a computer that is working fine and back up all ur files on it.
Of course it's sensible to back up your files before restoring the hard drive, but it's not at all necessary to have to remove the hard drive in order to do that. He would only have to put it back in to restore it, so what's the point in taking it out in the first place?
