I have an old, dead 2000 Powerbook G3. What should I do with it?
I should keep what's left of the hard drive in case there is any personal info on it right?
Answers:
You might sell it on eBay or Craigs List as a computer for parts.
make a difference in the world
donate it to a poor child that will probably otherwise never see a computer, give them opportunity to learn
that's how i got my first one and thats how i personally went from bottom third class to upper middle give a child's life a chance :)
just a personal suggestion no right or wrong answer here
Turn it in to a recycling center. They will make something else out of it.
you should send it to a computer grave yard
I love the idea of donating it if you can find a reliable orginazation. if not you should recycle it. if your worried about the information (chances are you didn't put all that much on it a hacker could use) then the recycling people should be able to wipe it for you. understand that they don't usually use parts, they stip the parts down for the gold, silicone, ect. that they can resell. once its been recycled there is no way to take the inormation off.
if the hd is dead its junk trash it
