When I turn on my laptop, it looks like everything loaded properly, and as soon as all of the icons and everything show up and i try to click on it nothing pops up or runs. The icons gets hilighted and an hourglass shows up, but nothing happens. Ctrl-Alt-Delete doesn't work. Most actions from the keyboard don't work. (ex. ctrl-alt-del) The start menu freezes when I click on the windows flag icon. I can't turn it off the laptop unless i hold down the power button. I did a full virus and spyware scan last week, but if i try to click on the scanning again i can't get it to load. How can i fix this problem?

Oh, I'm sorry, it looks like a virus has get into your machine. You can go on safe mood with network and you try to recover (backup) your files. After all files have been backup, make sure you got drivers for all your programs and hardware of your laptop. You can go formatting. hope this gets u well.
may be the click button is not functioning properly. have u tried another mouse?
sounds like a virus. if it's the mouse you're having trouble with [and it's wireless] check the battery to make sure it's 100% charged. & as far as your computer, if you can, save all your documents to a CD or flashdrive& have someone wipe eveyrthing out to clean it. or, go Mac&be virus free (:
