Question about laptop battery?

I am going away very soon and so my laptop will not be used for a while. The battery is a Lithium ion battery. How are these best left? Fully charged, empty or sort of in the middle?

Completely empty is the best. Some might say to put it in a freezer completely empty...I haven't ever tryed it.
Run the battery down to nothing.
As long as the battery is not completely discharged, it really shouldn't matter. Just don't leave it on the charger for extended periods of time.
just take it off and put it in a rapper
Take it with you! How can you go away without your laptop?
You know, http://www.batteryuniversity.com/... really has some interesting information about batteries. Check there. I would just say unplug your laptop and just keep it the way it is. Or you can discharge it to about 40%. I think that's what that site says.
I always charge mine fully before not being on my laptop for a week or so and haven't had any problems
I suggest you to remember in what state was it when you bought your laptop .. I guess It was empty ..So BE SURE KEEP IT EMPTY.
you welcome (ALTO)
run battery down as much as possible than remove from laptop
Take it out it may well leak leaving you without a laptop you can always charge it when you return.
