How do you remove a USB drive safely?
Answers:
I wouldn't worry about damaging anything. You'd have to really hack it to do that. If it's stuck try wiggling it.
I find it best to tug on it gently, wiggling it slightly to make it loose.
Your USB ports are pretty tough. I wouldn't worry too much about breaking them if you're being gentle.
LOL. Just grab with thumb and index finger and pull.
Dont push it back in when pulling it out, or move it around, or u will break the connecting pins.
Just pull it out..straight obviously..nothing special it takes alot ot hurt the port
If you have windows, then there should be an icon with a computer chip and a green arrow at the bottom right corner of th e screen. double click that, and click on "stop".
It should say "The usb storage device can now be safely removed or something along those lines. Grab the top and bottom of the flash drive with your index and thumb, and pull with a strong, yanking motion.
clicking on the taskbar thing doesnt realease it or anything like that .i think all that does is check to see if there are still any transers going on so you dont pull out and F up the files you were transfering.just pull out the drive its not hard.
Just pull it straight out. You don't need to do anything special.
All you need to do is to take your USB cord out. The icon will go away.
