Toshiba laptops from Costco. Great prices. I love my Toshiba.
Usually cheap, and laptop doesn't go together. Cheap, is what I'm assuming ranges form 400-500 dollars. Well, the only brand-name laptop that goes for that much is acer or toshiba. Acer has horrible features, and Toshiba has batteries that were recalled due to explosions. Thus, comes to my conclusion. If you go to an electronic store such as best buy, and look for deals, you can find great laptops that do so many times better than Toshiba or Acer. HP, for example, a great brand, can be bought for 800 dollars. That's the only way to get a laptop for cheap. Otherwise, getting Acer or Toshiba would result in junk that you would need to replace within a year.
Honestly, I'd rather pay the same amount for an off brand laptop. A "cheap" name brand really won't have great specs, while an offbrand one with have to have better ones for the same price; otherwise it wouldn't be worth buying.
But to answer your question, look at a costco or sams club. Sam's Club sells it for almost retail. They make all of their money from memberships, so prices are really low. Also, if this is for school or college, they will usually offer a deal through the school.
