Hi, i need some help with my d-link wbr - 2310 router.? (part 2)?
i went to this site http://192.168.0.0 and found alot of option.
i am really bad at computers i could not find the place where to reduce the speed of the wireless ( to increase the ethernet) or the speed limiter.

as for what J T said it is true that the spyware and viruses reduce the speed of the computer. i scanned both laptops and destops. founs trojan.clicker.cm in laptop 1, nothing in laptop 2 and a cookie in the desktop. i also used system mechanic to optimize the pz preformance.
and also i want to comment on what "Afraid of Flu" my desktop is way better spec are WAY better than my laptops but when i play counter strike on my destop it lags ,due to i guess, weak connection but it lags way less than my laptop.
computer pc spec : geforce 6600, 2 gb dd ram, speed 1.86.
laptop 1 specs : amd turion , 1 gb ram , and some weak video card.
laptop 2 specs : celeron , 1 gb ram , rd card not sure i will check later.

First it should be understood here that the Wireless is already limited in speed. If the router is 802.11b then it is limited to 10 mbs if it is 802.11g then it is limited to 54 mbs. All other direct connections will be connecting to the router at 100 mbs. To speed up all of them, I recommend visiting http://www.speedguide.net and run their free TCP/IP Optimizer on each computer. As well go to http://www.ccleaner.com and get their free tool which will do wonders for all of them. Be sure to run the Scan For Issues on them as well.
