I have windows vista and when i installed it, my sound did not work ?

that's because you don't have the driver for the sound installed
on your computer
just install the driver and everything will be normal again
try windows update maybe windows update can find the proper drivers
well at least that's what it did in my computer
after i install vista
windows update gave me the driver and it installed them
so i didn't have any problem for the sound.
most likely you need to find vista compatible drivers for your audio. many do have the vista drivers available but some manufacturers are refusing to support vista for older products.
