Is the Dell Inspiron really that bad?

I recently purchased a Dell Inspiron (unsure which model) for college. The reviews for this product are mostly negative.
Is this laptop going to survive 4 years of heavy use, or should I expect to be purchasing another laptop?

Answers:
There will be a lot of negative comments and reviews on whichever notebook you buy. People always look for the bad, which they should to know what potential negatives it may have. Dells are generally on par with HPs. Which mean they're good notebooks. Will it last four years, maybe, depending on how much you use it and carry it around. No notebook will really last four years from a technology standpoint, they won't really last a year. If you're just looking for internet/office on it, it should be fine.
I have one and I love it.i hope you bought the extended warranty with the accidental damage plan.Never know when an accident might happen to the laptop, better safe than sorry.
Dells are the worst computers you can get. Don't get it just because the lid is colored. Why does the color matter? Instead, you should get a Toshiba Satellite M65-S9092.
