Reformatting a sony vaio laptop HELP!?
will the boot cd work for my sony vaio laptop?
they both have intel and Windows XP.
I would think it would, but it just wont have the drivers for the touch pad... so just call up sony and ask about those... but other then that... wouldn't it work?
my one friend is good with computers said it would.. my other friend said it wouldn't. will this work or not?

It will definitely not work, as the hardware profiles of both computers are very unique, including the manufacturer labels and signatures on them. Try Sony's eSupport website and find your software there, if possible; as for your touchpad, i'm sure eSupport has drivers for it
No, it WON'T. The boot disc for the Dell is FOR THE DELL, THE VAIO WILL NOT ACCEPT IT AS A BOOT DISC.
it will not work Dell Cd's work only with dell call Sony and asked for restore CD should be free and use it.
