Should I buy a 1501 or a 1521 Inspiron from Dell?

If it were me, I'd steer away from the Inspirons completely and get a late-model Latitude (D420, D430, etc.) instead. Latitudes play nicer on a network, docking hardware for them is better, they're easier to set up at a desk, and so on.
Neither. Get a Toshiba Satellite M65-S9092 instead.
