My laptop over heats and turns off what can I do to stop that from happening?
Answers:
It the fan inside... Your computer turns off to prevent damage to the processors..
You need to replace the fans inside the laptop.
Also, make sure that the air intakes on the computer is not blocked.. These are vents on the back and bottom of the computer...
Many laptops have vents on the bottom. if you use the laptop on a soft surface, those vents are blocked and the laptop will overheat. so even though it is called a laptop, don't use it on your lap. There are also laptop cooler pads, which are like a tray with fans that can help keep the laptop cool.
other possible causes are, faulty fan, overclocked cpu, power rmanagement disabled, and insufficient use of thermal compound between cpu and heatsink.
The reason why, is most likey because when it over heats that means that your using up a lot of the computer usage and then when it gets close to running out of power it turns off, so basicly it over heats just to warn you that its gonna shut down, so just make sure before u use your laptop plug it in and then use it. hoped i helped and GOODLUCK
there is something u can buy to cool it off but i dont know the name of it
