Is a mac book a good laptop for a college student?

Macbooks are great laptops. I do have one word to the wise check to see if the school you're attending has any specific software requirements. Some need specific software (depending on what your major is and what classes you will be taking) that may not offer a mac version to the software. mac has helped in that respect with BootCamp which allows you to split your hard drive and run a dual OS (in this case make sure your virus protection is top notch). That happened to a friend of mine, went through his entire undergraduate career with a mac but when he got to grad school he had to install Boot Camp b/c there was software from his marketing class that only ran on XP.
As you can Mac is ahead of the curve to make it easy for Mac users to invade places that may not have been Mac friendly before. :)
Heya omg i can't actually believe u are askin this question. Apple Macs are so good in fact i am answering this Q on an Apple Mac. lmao they are so good and so simple and easy to use compared to windows, GO FOR IT!

I wouldn't trade my Macbook for anything in the world. I was using an IBM style pc before I upgraded and now I see the computer world in a whole different light. Its simplistic and very modern. I love it! BUY ONE!
A Mac Book is a great laptop for your average college student. They are sturdy machines, look great, are blazingly fast, and are easy to use. And you can even run Windows or Vista on them, should you really need to have access to Windows-world only apps.
But they are NOT good for doing a lot of video or graphics work quickly (in which case you would want a professional machine like the Mac Book Pro).
And they are NOT good for gaming. (But to my mind, that makes it PERFECT for a college student!)
