Pluses of Macbooks, owners/experts appreciated!?

i am making a list to try and convince my parents to pay for half, and i have a 1-1/4 page list already. i think technical stuff would be better than things like "two finger scrolling" kind of things. thanks if you can give me some pluses of macbooks!

I love Macs too, but Ryan is such a liar.

Macs don't get viruses? Yeah right. There's been a few small viruses that could infiltrate Macs, but not big ones yet. It's still possible. Just because you use a Mac, doesn't prevent you from getting viruses. Common misperception. Get an AV program on Windows, and you're ok.

People hack onto your bank accounts when you use PC's? Ok, if you're an idiot and manage to get yourself in that position. If that's true, then the whole world would be like bankrupt, since everybody uses PC's.

Um, PC's can also have protective covers, and can be built to be tough also.

The processors are more powerful? Uh, Intel makes them, and Intel puts exactly the same ones in every computer. They're not any different. Really.

So here's the real reason why Macs are good:

1. They have a nice design
2. They can run both OS X and Windows (although it's not really anything, if you don't need OS X)
3. They make good quality computers (just like any other company)
4. And OS X is kinda cool. Kind of. Plus you can run a whole lot more media and graphic software on OS X than you can on Windows.
5. Built-in webcam, so it doesn't fall off.

That's like the real reasons why Macs are sometimes better than PC's. No lies. Real truths.

UPDATE: Yeah there are viruses! Check out this site, Mr. Know it all. Stop being oblivious. Stop living in denial.

http://www.macvirus.org/ It's legit.
You will never need to worry about viruses. No one will be hacking into your bank accounts and stuff. The macbooks are built with a titanium shell, so if you drop it it will hold together. The processors are much more powerful than any Dell.
Jack s is wrong about the viruses. There are no MacOs X viruses out on the internet. Some guy somewhere swore he made one, but that's about it, it was never released. Let's see 100,000 windows viruses requiring you to get anti-virus software, update the software daily, scan your windows computer daily or a Mac which hasn't had a new virus since 2002. The choice should be easy. Tell your parents, no adware, no pop up ads, top rated techs support and longest battery life. Check www.consumerreports.com and check the other URL below. Good shopping!
Hey Gal!
I just got me a Black Macbook for my 18th bday from my grandparents and its a gorgeous baby! But i guess that isin't exactly what your asking for...I researched it pretty well and these are the main points that I used to convince them it was a life/death situation!!! ;)

1. Especially good for graphic programs like Corel, Photoshop, Quark, etc; the programs run much smoother and rarely freeze.
2. Black and white might seem a bit stark, but theyre classic colours; u cant go wrong!
3.Bluetooth! I turn on the bluetooth in my phone and in the mac, and transfer pics effortlessly! A chimp could do it! (not that im a chimp...)
4.WEIGHT! only 2.31 kgs compared to the elephantic pc laptops out there!
5. You can burn music and watch dvd's on it. I usually use an external pair of speakers and we sit about 4-5 feet away and the resolution of the screen is excellent! ("13.3-inch widescreen display; pixel-perfect 1280-by-800 resolution")
6. iSight webcam: Spend hours making faces and using the filters to enhance your resemblance to a fish! Ok, not a selling point, but if you go overseas and miss the family, you can use this to chat with up to four people at the same time! And in this cool, 3-d view that makes you feel like some corporate giant.

Something to note:
White macs might seem too pristine and clean to ever stay in that condition but a friend of mine has a white one, and she just leaves it on her desk and is careful enough with it (doesnt chuck stuff on it and generally leaves the desk neat) and it looks pretty new.
Black macs are lovely to touch (smoooth matt surface) but u touch it and it leaves a whitish smudge on the surface (thts abt the only point tht frustrates me!)

Some tech specs I'm sure you already have:

-2.0GHz or 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
(Intel Core2Duo is the best in the market At this moment)
-80GB, 120GB or 160GB 5400-rpm Serial ATA hard disk drive; optional 120GB or 160GB 5400-rpm drive or 200GB 4200-rpm drive1
(i.e.LOTS of space!)
-Built-in stereo speakers
-Built-in omnidirectional microphone
-13.3-inch (diagonal) glossy widescreen TFT display with support for millions of colors
-6 hours of battery life (approx)

That's all I have time to type! Hope you get it, I'm crossing my fingers:)
