How do i get Internet access on my laptop?

There 3 way you can chose to connect the internet
1. if you have wifi, just connect at the Hot spot (usually at the cafe, airport, mall), if your notebook dosn't have wifi, buy the PCMCI or USB wifi card. but this is only limited for certain area
2. if you want to spend more money, you can buy PCMCI or USB wireless GSM (3G or HSDPA) or CDMA modem, Select the provider that provide the unlimited internet packet. I have use this... and this is very nice, I can open internet everywhere, even in all city of Indonesia...
3. Or... use your Mobile phone, if your mobile phone support modem, you can use the cable data to connect the mobile phone (for nokia just buy C-45 cable data), Bluetooth, or infrared. but I did not recoment it because it very difficult to connect and limited battrey phone.
Go to a hotspot or set up your own wireless network and follow the instructions, assuming your laptop has a wireless card.
you have to buy a router
if you have one look at the icons on the side of your computer and it has an arroww to show the rest then you look for the one with a computer with an x a red x
press it then something will pop up then you connect
ps if you just got your router and didn'yt intstall it yet then look at the instructions
There are a few ways. You could connect to your home Internet through a router. You could get dial up service and connect through your laptops modem. You could get an EV-DO card for your laptop from a service provider like Sprint or Verizon. A last solution would be wireless through some ones un-secured network or at a Wi-Fi hot spot. Go with the Wi-Fi hot spot since that would be legal and won't get you in trouble with your friend/neighbor.
You can either have wireless internet or high speed or dial up. with dial-up first download an ISP and create your dial-up locations. NOTE: you need a phone line for dial-up. For wireless you need a wireless PC card and install it you can use an ISP or internet explorer. for high speed order high speed from your cable company then plug in the cable and load your ISP.
Wireless or Wired?
For Wired Connection, All you have to do is to plug your ethernet cable jack into your laptop.
For Wireless Connection, make sure you turn on your wireless adapter, then search for the wireless signal from yor laptop, mostly laptops have this wireless icon besides the clock right bottom cornder of your screen.
