Toshiba keyboard?

One day some of the keys on my keyboard decided to stop working, especially the backspace and the enter key. I am having to pound the keys just to type this message. They won't repeat either. Is it a dirty keyboard or a virus. I have updated Norton. If it is just dirt, can the back of the keyboard be accessed to clean it.

This can be caused by dirt, dust, crumbs etc. underneath the keys. With the machine switched off, try turning it upside down and giving a GENTLE shake - you'll be surprised how much drops out!
Start it up and see if there is any improvement. If you are still having the same problems, switch off again and GENTLY prise off the keys that are causing problems, one at a time, and clean under them. Replace one before you go on to the next, otherwise you'll get them mixed up!
