Hp laptop wont turn on?
Whats wrong?

It seems is the power failure. Most likely the charge function brake down(even you plugged in still showed no power)It may be the problem of your battery(internal short circus) try to change other battery and see..when plugged check the cable and connection make sure is well connectted.
Not sure but just leave it plugged in for a little while...it could have been really dead.
maybe you should check that it is fully charged and if it is leave the charger in and try pressing the on/off button. Or maybe you should hold it for like 10 seconds and then press it. If that doesn't work then I don't know what else to do.
Make sure you open up the laptop and press the power button.
I have seen a bad battery cause this issue. Remove then re-install battery. Plug it in and let it sit for 5 min. Try turning it on. If no luck look for a tiny reset button of some sort, either on the bottom, under the battery or somewhere else. You may not have one. Otherwise call HP.
there could be a problem with your power supply
or the hard drive, since windows boots from the hard drive, you should get it checked out by someone who knows laptops and if you still have the warranty then you should be able to get it fixed for free
my battery has issues, i take it out and find a CLEAN pink eraser, then i erase the connectors, ((that is the gold metal parts on the battery and inside the computer. it cleans it out! if not try sending it in to a store
It sounds like it's one of two things that could be causing this:-
1) A problem with your battery charger (these can be easily replaced by any good electronics store)
or if you've had it a few years
2) A problem with your laptop battery
Like all rechargeable batteries, laptop batteries only last so long - holding less charge on each recharge until they go wrong completely.
The third option is it could be a problem with your motherboard - if so that's usually an expensive repair and far cheaper just to buy a new laptop than fixing it.
sounds like a bad battery if you ask me..
try taking out the battery and just running off the mains with the battery taken out... if it is a bad battery then you should be able to power up that way.
