Does charging you laptop computer too long affect it? ( besides charging it).?
Answers:
no but what can hurt the battery in the long run is many partial charges .. its best to run them all the way out every month or two ..
used too but with lithium you are good, it will max the charge then stop drawing power
Once a battery is charged it should be discharged and recgared to maintain its life span correctly, you can have it on for 10 hours but it does affect the battery in the long run, just unplug it after 5-6 hours drain it half way and plug it back in, i would pull the plug out of the wall socket if i was you as the connector on the laptop itself is very sensitive..oh yes batteries must be drained to at least 5 % once every 3 weeks
Assuming a normal Li battery, really only during the battery break in period (5-10 charges). When you get a new battery/laptop, you want to fully charge it, then when it's fully charged, work on running it down fully (repeat at least 3 times). This will help ensure a maximum charge. There's some evidence to support that constant short bursts of charges (like permanent power like you suggest) degrades it slowly, but really the most impactive is right at the beginning.
Most newer laptop batteries can't be overcharged so you won't affect the functionality of the laptop by keeping it plugged in for extended periods, some people, however, believe that the battery will last longer if you let it drain until it needs recharging rather than leaving it plugged in all the time
No but if you use it plugged in for a long time, like a few weeks, take the battery out it will save life. The battery does not overcharge it starts to discharge slightly than recharge and that takes away from life.
