How to I connect an A/V device to my laptop?

I want to connect my video player, and devices such as the Wii to my laptop. My laptop has an VGA out, and a S-Video Out.

I recently purchased http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/ebayisapi.dll?v... , it has not arrived yet but would it do the job?

What devices would I need and what software would I need to view the device??

Thanks for your help in advance.

Answers:
No that will not work. Your laptop only has vga out not in.

You will need a USB 2.0 TV Tuner/Video Capture Box with video inputs. Check ebay they should have something. I got mine from there and played my played Playstation on my laptop.
