Why does my laptop beep when I hold down one of the arrow keys?

I'm playing some online games that require me to hold an arrow key for a few seconds at a time. After about 5 or 10 seconds it beeps. I can't change the volume or play any music or anything, the laptop has a speaker that I can't really adjust any options.

Answers:
it is letting you know that, somthing is holding down one of the keys or one is stuck. it is a warning, kinda like when you get a windows error it makes a little cherp. that is the same thing.
It's probably Sticky Keys has been turned on.

To get rid of Sticky Keys press both Shift keys at the same time.
when your laptop can't be able to process or when you give it so much work like that it may play a sound to warn you, don't be affraid. and i'm sure that it can be turned off, consult your dealer
If the previous answers don't work for you, try this

Try this

Go to "Start" menu and click on "Run". Type "regedit" and press enter. Expand "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" and then choose "Control Panel" --- > "Sound". There will be a list on the right pane. Right click on "ExtendedSounds" and select "Modify". The value will be "yes" and change it to "no".

You need to reboot after changing it.

I am not sure if it will work. But let me know if it works =)
