How do i find the right brand of laptop for me. can i find a site that lists customer quality feedback?
Answers:
here are two sites to two well known companys
http://www.dell.com/content/products/cat...
http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/prod...
http://reviews.cnet.com/?tag=hd_ts...
cnet.com
Or just simply Google the computer brand name and the model number and see what other people have said about it.
You could check with review sites like cnet.com or read customer feedback on some of the seller's sites. Finding a good quality laptop can be difficult but it's doable if you look hard enough. If spending a few thousand, the ASUS g series is nice. If you want to spend less then I would go with a Lenovo or one of the other ASUS models. Just make sure to buy the RAM upgrade up-front. It's difficult to put in later without voiding the warranty.
TOATALLY HP, no doubt about it.
well except for Alienware but that's like $5000
I agree cnet is a good resource, but so are the shopping sites like Yahoo and Google that have reviews by actual users rather than professional computer reviewers. I have laptops from both platforms PC (Windows) & Mac. I like them both. My PC was a very inexpensive brand Averatec (around $700 at Costco), but it is super reliable and comes standard with a combo drive (CD/DVD (+/-) burner and player). I also LOVE my iBook and have had it for 5 years without any issues. Unless you are going to do hardcore graphics/movie work and/or gaming then a low to midlevel model should work just fine for you.
