If this is XP run this: http://tinyurl.com/y924uz
Put a checkmark in "Fix Windows Update" and click "clear software distribution"
If that doesn't work, try opening control panel, administrative tools and event viewer to try to determine the file/application causing the issue.
Memory related error, the latest service pack from Microsoft may be able to fix it. could also be some ram going bad, or just a program that is not releasing memory when it finishes. (aka memory leak). It may go away for a while if you reboot.
gawsh lady those are some really technecal letters. XD *headache* o gawd =( owy i dont know! (runs off confused)
Virus, bad driver, bad memory... could be many things. Check your system with a virus checker, if it's OK, download a overall system checker.
you can check the event viewer it will tell you exactly what it is or how to fix it, if its fixable. start / control panel / performance and maintenance / administrative tools / event viewer / system log. right click the errors and click properties. click the link provided in the properties to see a help file on it. it'll be under users actions.
It means you have corrupt software or flaky hardware The most probable is that you got cheap RAM and the DIMMs are not timing compatible. Using a program such as memtest 86+ available at http://www.memtest.org/ you can test the memory to find if this is the problem. Otherwise if it happens when running a particular program try reinstalling the program. The remaining choices are many and tedious so a professional may be required.
