Have broken LCD on my Compaq Presario V2000 notebook. Tried using USB keyboard and mouse and attached to regular monitor, however, keyboard and mouse did not get recognized.
I am wondereing if using a docking station would be a help. My intention is to use the an external monitor, full size keyboard and mouse (both with round serial connectors), if docking station is the answer.

I don't know why a docking station would help, unless you get one with a built in keyboard. Check to see if you have all the correct drivers for your mouse and keyboard. Sorry i cant help much!
