Apple Mac's?Umm... HELP!!?
Also, in ur opinion do u think apple's are better then regular computers, why?
Answers:
OK, first of all the iMac and the Mac Mini are different computers, so check the Apple homepage. Remember that the Mac Mini doesn't come with a keyboard or monitor, you have to pay extra for them. I see from one of your earlier questions that you already have a monitor, but make sure it is compatible with the Mac Mini. Same goes for the keyboard. The iMacs tend to be more powerful than the Mac Minis (depending on the configuration ... go shopping on the Apple homepage and try different configurations).
The Mac Book obviously has the advantage of portability. I think that is pretty important, but up to you.
You will probably hear all kinds of arguments about Mac vs PC. Which operating system is better? That depends on what you are doing and what you are accustomed to--which is exactly why Macs are better. You can run Windows on a Mac (using software called Parallels or Boot Camp, it's easy). You cannot run the Mac OS on a Windows machine (unless you have serious computer skills and are willing to spend a lot of time on it). No brainer.
Maybe your parents will give you a loan and your first computer project can be to sell some of your stuff on Yahoo Auctions?

Get the MacBook. It has almost everything on it you will need (iLife with iTunes, iPhoto, iDVD, Garage Band and more). You will need to add a better word processor, you can get Open Office for free or get an educational version of Word. Check out the least expensive MacBook at the Apple Education store. It's $999. It looks good. It is wi-fi ready. You may want to upgrade the memory or add a DVD burner, it's up to you. The main advantages: best tech support, long battery life, & no viruses. Check the last issue of Consumer Reports at www.consumerreports.com.
The white Macbook is cheaper than the black but they both have the same internal hardware. iMac is a desktop so if you don't need to bring a computer to school, get it. A Mac Mini is a desktop that doesn't come with a monitor, keyboard and mouse.
