My laptop has a few keys that have never worked, even when it was brand new (Scroll lock, print screen, etc).?

Is there a way I can fix this by myself?
I have an HP pavillion dv6000 and the keys are:
Scroll lock [num lk]
pause [break]
insert[prt sc]
delete[sys rq]

oh and the light that should turn on when I press scroll lock doesn't work either. The Caps lock light works though.

Answers:
Try going to safemode to test if your having the same problem. To boot to safemode restart your computer and press F8 several time until you get a screen "Windows Advance Boot Menu" then select Safemode, once your on safemode try those problematic keys again, if still the same problem, call HP maybe they can run diagnostics or something to it or to have your keyboard replaced.
If it is new, it must be under warranty, get it replaced. From http://fixit.in
I respectfully suggest you do not know what these keys are for.
Easiest example
The Delete key
Highlite a Icon on the desktop then push the delete key.
You’ll get a prompt which reads do you want to send it to the recycle bin.
