Can you figure out what is wrong with my laptop? please?
Answers:
try cold booting the router first. remove power cable for ten seconds then replace.
check your available wireless connections right click on the little screen and view available make sure you know your ssid.
check your laptop is not set to ad-hoc,this means its connecting through your pc.it needs to be on inferstructure mode.
make sure both the pc and laptop are using the same network ie local.
Are you on a home network (I assume so.)
How do your PC and laptop connect to the router?
Without knowing more. . .if your laptop can connect, but then drops it, that means your access settings are probably fine. . .it's the actual physical connections that drops.
Give some more details about your setup.
If it's wireless: Most often this is a wireless connection problem. Placement re the wireless router and the laptop is important -- distance, orientation, interference from walls, furniture, other devices, etc. Try bringing your laptop right near the router, or doing a hard wire connection, and see if you have the same problem.
I assume you are using wireless internet. it is broken. take it to a shop, if it is a built-in wireless. if it is not built-in, just get a new one.
