For $130.00 more, you could have a Dell. I would purchase that over the Acer Aspire.
Wow. Seems like your between a rock and a hard place. The laptop you are talking about isn't very great. Running Windows Vista with 512 mb Ram is not good. Unless you get more Ram for it, you probably won't be able to play music or watch videos without them skipping. I reccomend purchasing a good refurbished computer. Save up more money.
Then buy something thats better than that! Something with XP or Vista Premium, 1 GB ram, 80+ GB hard drive, and consider getting HP/Compaq/Toshiba.
