My AJP laptop keeps turning itself off with no explanation. What am I doing wrong or is it simply knackered?
Answers:
Never, ever, ever, use the laptop on a bed or cushioned surface and if you need to use it on your lap, spread your legs as it alows air to get into the laptop and cool it down. My hardrive melted because of ONE TIME using it on a bed.
It could be over-heating. Make sure to keep it in a location where air-flow can get under the laptop and around all over really. Don't leave papers on the keyboard as a lot of heat vents from there as well. Don't set the laptop on pillows or anything.
Another cause could be Hard Drive damage, but mostly it's due to over-heating (which in turn can cause hard drive issues)
Perhaps it's too hot and simply overheating? Or maybe there's a legitimate problem with its "do I have power or not" sensor thing?
My friend recently purchased an Antec notebook cooler for 25.00, which I think is a good idea if the fan starts kicking in alot, like spinning loudly. Could be overheating or could be a hardware problem, or ask someone you know who knows much about computers, maybe they'll take a look inside.
It could be the power settings. Go to control panel click on power options make sure that in all boxes..it says never turn off computer and hard disks.
